Welcome to the Pencil Gallery!This is Alice L. Downey, a little cartoon I created for the web site of a company I used to work for. She was going to be the 'Host' for their Frequently Asked Questions page (just don't call her 'Frequently Asked Alice' - she takes exception to that sort of talk), but I eventually decided she's a bit too flippant, on the whole. Most people probably wouldn't appreciate an SD-style cartoon character on a 'professional' web site. Which is precisely why she's now hosting my Pencil Sketch Gallery. I did this picture by scanning the original mono pencil sketch, and adding blocks of colour behind the bitmap in CorelDraw. The whole image was then exported as a huge RGB image and scaled down. I'm quite happy with it, but it's not perfect... I might, at some time, put together a 'normal' version of her... |
