Documents Wot I Dun

Mr. Spookiface is watching you...

After getting back to work at the beginning of 2002, there was very little by way of actual office work for me to do... So I improvised. I bought myself Adobe Illustrator, during 2000, with the intention of putting together some seriously fabby web graphics*... well, to be honest, I got it because I wanted to learn how to use it properly, rather than simply for troubleshooting, but whatever... One feature I couldn't quite grasp was the Gradient Mesh tool. Since I hate being defeated by mere software, I decided to spend some time learning how to use it, and the best way for me to learn something is to play around with it and see "what happens if..."

The image above is the result of my first serious attempt at using Gradient Mesh. It started out as an ellipse, then gradually became more complicated as I added Gradient Mesh nodes, and pulled out the chin. One of my collegues reckons I should have come up with a better name... Nah.

*Normally I'd use CorelDraw... which is very good, and I find it easier to use, but Illustrator is 'Industry Standard'.
