Optimus Prime (and Trailer) While WS Optimus Prime is common enough, his trailer is very rare - only one per crate of 48, according to most sources. As soon as I saw one available, I just had to have one, despite the extortionate price. Having WS Prime and his trailer, which even includes a World's Smallest Roller, is possibly the cutest thing ever... and, of course, it's another Optimus Prime for my collection... WS Prime is one of the only WS range with a weapon... possibly the only Autobot. |

Jazz The Autobots' coolest spy, and now their smallest! Amazingly similar to the original G1 Jazz, with an almost identical transformation (really only the arms are significantly different, and that's only because they're not as posable), but at a fraction of the size. |

Prowl Much like Jazz above, only with the waist-twist transformation... I never got Gen 1 Prowl, so I snapped up this little guy. If I ever get into collecting the reissues, I may get the full-size version. |

Megatron Again, a very true-to-G1 translation of Megatron. A tiny Walther P38, with a very similar transformation. He's got his sight/Fusion Cannon, so all he's missing is the stock and silencer combo. Robot mode doesn't work quite so well. Megatron was always rather awkward-looking, and this one, due to limitations of size, is even more so. Some bits don't quite connect the way the original did, and he doesn't stand very well |

Soundwave Seems as though the Decepticons got the better deal in terms of how amazing the World's Smallest versions are. Soundwave has to be one of the best, with more articulation and even more authenticity to the full-size original... He looks fantastic in all modes, has his gun/shoulder cannon/batteries which can be stowed in his back... and even comes with the World's Smallest Ravage (which looks pretty poor and won't stand unaided, but it's still a surprising accomplishment). |

Starscream Just had to get this one... As with all of the WS range, transformation is almost identical to the original, but the small pieces make for limitation. Nowhere is this more true than with the Seeker jets. The wings connect to fixed points on the legs, and the tail wings get in the way no matter how you place them in robot mode. He's pretty cute, though, with his dinky 'gloves' and little weapons. |

WSTF Dinobots Snarl Since Takara seem to have stopped the World's Smallest line, a Chinese company, Justitoys, has taken it upon itself to carry on, starting with the World's Smallest Dinobots, with Snarl being the first release. All things considered, it's a pretty incredible model, far better than Takara's own... but then it's to a different scale, so that makes it a little easier. Snarl transforms in exactly the same way as the full size version, and is painted in pretty much the same way - though he has a blue visor, to match the TV series, rather than a red one to match the original toy. Some parts are simlified (the lower arms attach as separate pieces, rather than being stowed in the dinosaur's thighs), but other than that, it's the original in miniature, even including a sticker sheet! An excellent start to the series. |

WSTF Dinobots Slag Another amazing piece of work, a true downsizing of the original Slag without much by way of simplification of the transformation. The only noticable change is that the hands are now detachable, like Snarl's, so as to avoid tiny moving pieces in the arms. As with Snarl, the paintjob is indentical to the full size original, but the visor is now 'Autobot Blue' rather than the original colour. The stickers are of a slightly better quality to Snarls, but they don't stay in place very well. |

WSTF Dinobots Grimlock Needless to say, another nigh-perfect miniature version of the original Gen 1 Dinobot. Grimlock is possibly the weakest of the set so far, because his entire chest has a habit of coming loose in robot mode. It's not really fastened in place by any means, it just slots around the piece which holds the head, and the sliding the head forward is supposed to keep the chest in place... Usually it works, but I wouldn't bank on it working forever. Still, an excellent model with a great paint job. Unlike the previous two, Grimlock's hands transform properly, disappearing into his wrists, rather than being detachable. |
